Assessments

Hope Behavioral Services uses a variety of assessment tools to determine the most accurate representation of skill sets and deficiencies.

Our BCBA’s will choose the appropriate assessment tool(s) for your child.

The assessments that we use include:

· Vineland-II

· VB-MAPP

· ABLLS-R

· McGreevy Essential for Living: Assessment of Functional Living Skills (AFLS)

· Bellini Social Skills Profile

Assessment Timeline

  • Once we have received all the required documents, our authorization department will submit a prior authorization request for an initial assessment to your current insurance carrier.
  • After receiving insurance approval, an initial behavioral assessment will be scheduled by our ABA team.
  • Assessments will be conducted by a Board-Certified Behavior Analysts. The assessment will include medical history, behavioral history, observation, skill assessment and parent interview. During parent interview, you will have an opportunity to discuss your child’s behaviors, express the objectives, and the goals that are important to you and your family.
  • A copy of the assessment will be sent via secure email. Please review and return with your electronic signature within 3 days. The assessment will then be submitted to your insurance carrier for approval for ABA services.
  • Our clinical team will contact you to set up a schedule for your child’s ABA services.
